Terms & Conditions
We’re a small independent publisher, and this website is where we share and sell our books directly to readers.
By placing an order with us, you’re agreeing to the terms below.

Orders and Payment
-
All orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase, including the cost of in-stock items, preordered items, and shipping fees.
-
Once your order and payment are received, we’ll confirm by email. A contract is formed once we accept your order.
-
If you order an in-stock item along with a pre-order item, please note that these will be shipped separately.
Preorders
-
Some titles may be available for preorder. This means the book isn’t yet ready to ship.
-
Payments for preorders are taken at checkout and include the cost of goods and delivery fees.
-
When you preorder, we’ll keep your details and notify you by email when the book is dispatched. If publication dates change, we’ll update you as soon as possible.
Delivery
-
Orders are sent to the delivery address you provide at checkout.
-
We aim to dispatch available books promptly and will contact you if dispatch of your order is delayed.
-
International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or local charges, which are not included in our prices and are the responsibility of the buyer.
Returns, Refunds and Cancellations
-
You may return your order within 30 days of receiving your book, provided it is in its original condition.
-
Please contact us before sending anything back.
-
Unless the item is faulty or damaged, return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.
-
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the returned item.
-
If you wish to cancel a preorder that has not yet been dispatched, please contact us for a full refund.
-
Orders cannot be cancelled once they have been dispatched; these should be returned following our return procedure.
Availability
-
Our books are produced in small runs, so availability can sometimes be limited.
Liability
-
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please let us know as soon as possible and best within 10 working days, and keep all original packaging. We request photos of damaged goods and packaging to arrange a replacement or refund. Our couriers, such as UPS and Royal Mail, will not accept refunds without evidence of damaged packaging. As a small publisher we rely on refunds from couriers to compensate your damaged goods and shipping charges.
-
We cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by postal services, customs, or other circumstances outside our control.
Force Majeure
Sometimes events happen that are beyond our control — such as natural disasters, strikes, transport issues, or government restrictions. If this affects our ability to fulfil your order, we’ll notify you as soon as possible, but we won’t be responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by such events.
Promotional Discount Codes
-
From time to time, we may offer promotional discount codes.
-
Discount codes can only be used once per person and only at the time of purchase.
-
We reserve the right to withdraw or change discount codes at any time.
Complaints
We want you to be happy with your experience and copies of your books. If something goes wrong, please contact us at info@mayakpublishing.co.uk. We’ll do our best to resolve the issue quickly and fairly.
